nt 4 pdc joining active dir

I just installed dsclient on a nt 4 workstation and joined
a win2k active dir domain.

Can a nt 4 server pdc use dsclient and join the active dir
domain?

If not can it be done and how?

Set up a trust between the two domains.

There is no such thing as Win 2k BDC.

You have a NT 4.0 DC and a Win 2k DC, they are in separate domains.

To get the NT 4.0 DC into the Win 2k domain it is easiest to format and
reinstall using the Win 2k CD.

Upgrading the NT 4.0 DC to Win 2k will result in dcpromo being automatically
run to set up AD and a new domain, you can then run dcpromo a second time to
remove AD. Then join it to the Win 2k domain as a member server, then run
dcpromo again to make this a DC in the Win 2k domain.
