Nstask32

Mike

At startup, an error comes on my screen stating it cannot
run program Nstask32.exe.. How do I get rid of this?? I
have downloaded all the latest updates and have the
latest anti-virus software...I'm running Windows XP...

Please help...

run REGEDIT and find this entry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
String Value
Name: Shell
Type: REG_SZ
Binary Value:
explorer.exe nstask32.exe

Just remove the part after the explorer.exe and your logon
will be back to normal. Cheers!
