NSLOOKUP question

Andrew

Hello,

Our network has been running fine every since I built it a
couple of years ago, but to this day, I don't understand
why I get this message when I open a command prompt and
type nslookup:

Can't find server name for address 10.0.0.6: Non-Existant
domain
Default servers are not avaiable.
Default Server: Unknown
Address: 10.0.0.6

10.0.0.6 is the IP address of our one and only Domain
Controller.

Can someone explain to me why I am getting this message
and what steps I can take to fix it, if it even is a
problem. Thanks.

You are getting the message because there is either no reverse lookup zone
or no PTR record for the IP of the DNS server in that zone. You can ignore
this if you want.
