NSIS error

After updating Earthlink Dialup program, I reboot only ot get an NSIS Error
.... it mentioned something bad about Installer. I've had problems with
Installer hanging up. Can I unistall it and install again?

I realize I may not have given a complete or accurate description of the
problem. Your solution will not harm my system in any way will it?

I read through the article. Method 2 precribes an unistall and reinstall of
Installer v3.1 or kb893803, which is what I have. I have rebooted several
times since it first came up and I no longer see the NSIS message at startup.
It could be that just the earthlink software is damaged. In any event,
thanks.

Im working on a few other issues and I may have to do a system restore after
all is said and done. I have wasted too much time trying to fix the problem.
