Sometimes I stumble upon pages on the internet where one can only shake his
head,

this one is such and reveals what stupid kids this world has..

Kids not willing to buy Vista but kill their Machines for a "free" vista.

In the attempt of running a pirated, but "genuine" and activated Vista ( we
all know the DVD is everywhere .. ) the kids from today have adapted a
method from china.

Large OEMs have Vista preinstalled without the need to activate, as Vista
looks up if the Bios matches certain criteria.. and exactly that is now
"simulated" at worldwide homes, kids flash their PC's bios with a hacked
rom, that includes the needed informations to let vista accept leaked OEM
Product Keys.

These Keys and the needed Bios files do appear now on the internet together
with horrible stories where every third attempt resulted in a dead PC,
because of a failed BiosUpdate.( no wonder if you force your Dell to believe
it is a HP and the like )

So simple, but so risky - most of these kids not even do know what they are
doing and that they will flash their PCs mainboard dead - the Bios, once
replaced with a wrong file is a chip on your mainboard and if it is wrong,
your machine will not even power on.

So insane - not willing to spend the money for vista, but turn a modern
Machine into a bunch of trash by typing in chinese codes into hexeditors
that they not even understand..

all for pirating. That is really "cool". Isn't it ?

What puzzles me is that if they're aware of this type of risky method to
pirate Vista, why arent they aware of the numerous other methods and pirate
tricks all over the net that dont involve fiddling with the BIOS?

I cant understand why anyone would want to pirate vista? They must not
read these newsgroups.
