Notification Sounds + Game Sound

My sound seems to a lot lower than it should. I have
checked all the volume controls. Have to turn my speakers
way up. The speakers are ok. Solution ?

Greetings Roy,

The sounds in Messenger are based on the 'Wave' mixer in the Play Control (Start, Run, type
"sndvol32" and click OK) combined with the Play Control. Your game may have its own sound
mixer (especially if it's a DirectX game), and as such, may be louder.

There really isn't anything you can do but set the default Windows mixers up (as above), turn
the sound down in the game (to compensate) and then turn the speakers up (to where you want
it to be).
