Notification of an email

How can I get the little notification envepe to show up in the lower right
hand corner when I receive an email?

In Windows XP:

1. Right-click the taskbar and then click "Customize Notifications."
2. in that dialog box, scroll down and under "Past Items" make sure that
"Always Show" is selected for the Outlook items.
