Nothing shown in the event viewer

Hello, I found all events logged in the event viewer disappeared recently in
2 of my 2000 servers. The vertical scroll bar is enabled (i.e. something is
here), it's just that the event can't be shown... I'm just wondering if
there are anything wrong about my servers (virus?). Thanks in advance.

I have seen this happen from time to time, the only solution we found
was to clear the eventlog. Once we did this, new events started
showing normally.

It is not normal and supposedly SP4 fixes this issue. The way to keep it from happening again is to clear the logs and then set them to overwrite as needed.

Ahh, these were SP3 machines in my case.
