Please help,

I have an access DB (which was originally created from code, therfore it was
a Access95 format. I try to open it with Access 2003 and nothing happens.
The screen stays blank. It does prompt me for a password, which I provided.

I can't import or link tables in to another DB.
I've tried repairing the database
I've tried upgrading the database.
I've tried MS Access 2002 (XP)

Nothing seems to work. The database just doesn't open with MS access (The DB
isn't hidden as F11 doesn't work) Data is definately in the DB as my VB
program accesses it ok.

Please does anyone have any thoughts as to where to go from here.

TIA

If a db is created from code (using DBEngine.CreateDatabase), but not
subsequently opened from the Access user interface, it will not contain the
extra tables & other objects that Access uses for internal purposes. Maybe
that stops it being opened by a later version of Access.

Tell us more about the db in question. Exactly how was it created, & exactly
how was it used thereafter, before you tried to open it in later versions of
Access?

PS. I hope you're doing all that to a *copy* of the database. If you have
used the *original*, what happens if it tursn out to be totally hosed, due
to what you've done with it?

HTH,
TC
