Cannot open a accdb database file - nothing happens!

Hi people,
I have a quiet huge problem with access 2007:
A accdb database file which was programmed by me and my collegues worked
fine until yesterday. But today, when I try to open this accdb file, NOTHING
happens!!
The database is secured by a password for which access 2007 asks for, when I
try to open the db. When I enter the wrong PW then access 07 denies the
access to this db correctly. When I enter the correct PW, then access 07
simply does NOTHING! I can continue working with access as there were never
opened any db. Trying witch other db's opens them without any problem.
I tried until now:
* Copying to annother computer with annother access 2007 - no other result
* Trying to compress/repair the db by the access 07 -internal repair tool -
no other result - after entering the password nothing happens as if there
were never opened any db
* The db has NO VB or Macro scripts inside
* Trying to open the db by pressing the <shift> key does not change the
reaction of access 07..
So if anyone has any idea, please let me know it!!

Try starting a new db and import all objects (tables, forms, etc) from the
bad db into it.
