Notes in SlideshowView

I need to create one large presentation with multiple presentations within.
I have created a menu to link the other presentations, but since macros or
hyperlinks only seem to work in slideshow view, I need my viewers to be able
to write notes in slideshow view.

Is there a way to write notes in slideshow view other than using speaker
notes? If not, is there a macro to start speaker notes?
