notepad status bar option greyed out

Hi

I just fired up notepad and the viw... status bar option is greyed out.

I'm certain it was working last week becase I was using ti to look at line
numbers. I've not conciously changed anything.

Can anyone advise me how to restore the option?

Just checked and mine is greyed out also, perhaps it was never there.?

Ramish has it, there you go we learn something every day. (don't have any
choice where PCs are concerned)
