Notepad is gone!

All of a sudden, I cannot access Notepad on my system. I
did a "properties" from the shortcut on the start menu,
and I get the following target path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
\ACTMOVIE.EXE

Nowhere in that directory is there a notepad.exe file. I
tried restoring the program with the add/remove software
function, but couldn't find notepad as an option anywhere
within the directories. Then I tried reinstalling notepad
from the CD, and it didn't come up as an option under
accessories.

Can anybody tell me how to fix this?

Notepad.exe is in the C:\windows\system32 folder in my computer. I am
running WindowsXP home edition. You may have deleted the file. Send me
a email at (e-mail address removed)

Thanks for responding to my post.

Yes, I checked the system 32 folder... nada! Well,
actually, there's a lot of stuff in there, but no notepad.

I did a search of my hard drive and found it in C:\I386
\NOTEPAD.EXE Double clicked it and it worked, so I'm
changing the path... but, I find it very odd that it got
moved. Any insight?
