notepad error message

Each time I open a text file (.txt) w/ notepad, I get the
following message:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\...\...\..."
(where the .\... is the full path for the file)

The file does in fact always open, but behind this error
message. Any ideas on how to correct this behavior?

Thanks,
G. Thomas

Open Windows Explorer. Click the TOOLS menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab.

Find the entry for the .txt extension, select it and click EDIT. Select
the OPEN
choice and click EDIT.

Make a note of what's shown in the DDE area, then UNcheck the "use DDE" box.

See what happens next time a .txt file is double-clicked.
