Note page view into pdf

I know, there are several similar posts to that issue.
In PowerPoint 2007 when I create a pdf of the note page view (I use AdobePDF
printer) it is first very slow compared to former PowerPoint versions and
second (and this is even worse), the slide on the note page is just a
grafical picture on the pdf page. So any text search with AdobeReader is not
possible.
I have tried to work with the hint:
PowerPoint 2007: Slide image in notes pages is low-rez / jaggy
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00974.htm
....but the VBA script stops at "Slide Image Placeholder 1 not found". Maybe
because I'm using a german version of PowerPoint 2007.

Is there an other way, that Powerpoint automatically uses instead of the
bitmap image of a slide the real slide object in the note page view?

What happens if you use Publish > Create handouts in Word and then PDF??

I change my note master (the slide should be shown as big as possible and
below the note text)
After I publish the note pages into Word, I first have to resize on each
page the slide and second - the slide is again only an image on these
resulting Word pages.

I hope Microsoft provides a patch which allows to have the slide object on
the note page view, as it was the case with PowerPoint 2003.

Thanks for reply

Hi Steve,
sorry for the delay. I had finally time to try.
I found the german name. My difficulty now is that the digit behind this
german phrase is not the same on all my slides. I have to give the digit as
it apears with your helpfull routine from slide 1 (1). But when the "FOR
EACH" - loop in the VBA script comes to a slide with a different digit it
stops again. Is there a way to ignore the digits?

TIA

Thank you very much, Steve.
It works perfect.
I hope this will be a standard feature in the next PowerPoint version. ;-)

kind regards

I've just tried PowerPoint 2010 beta.
By default the feature of printing node pages into pdf is still that bad
like in PP2007.
The macro of Steve still works, but finally when I print out resulting
notepages I again only have an image of the slide on the nodepage.pdf
This is driving me crasy.
What is wrong???

TIA for help.
Peter
