Note pad problem

In my XP Home PC notepad is appearing as "MECEdit Document" insted of
Notepad Its display is also not proper like notepad.

Can u plz suggest me to rectify it.

When I see the properties of any notepad it is displaying:

Type of File : MECEdit Document

Actually there it should be a "Notepad Document".

Its display is also not proper
