I just wanted to say *Thank You* to all you folks that answer so many posts
with helpful info. I installed WinXP three weeks ago and with only one
exception, all my questions have been answered. And the neat thing is I
never even had to post a question. Thanks to all you MVP's and those of you
who could be MVP's for all the great help. To many posts in this group to
keep up with so I'll go hang out in the Basic group.

I especially want to thank Ken Blake for turning me on to getting and using
a mobile rack for backing up operating systems (Win98 days). Now if I can
just figure out how to get XP transfered to the mobile hard drive and make
it active to use in the case C:\ drive quites I'll be happy.

Again, thanks for your time and effort in changing WinXP problems into
solutions

Thanks for the note to all, Al and for reading/searching for answers. Am
just a bit curious of the one exception, though. :o)

Thank-you also appreciated out here in Arizona. I am also curious; Someone
may have answer.

About mobile racks? I use disk imaging software from www.acronis.com (True Image) and can restore a bootable image to a HDD in minutes.

Sorry to be so long in getting back to this post. Let me explain. I have
no problem with the *freebie copy* of Norton Ghost or with XXCopy in
transferring the O/S to the mobile rack H/D. I wanted to be able to turn
off C: and D: drives in the BIOS and just run on the rack. Apparently
because the reg. files point to C: drive, WinXP won't load from the
mobile H/D. I'm sure that were I to take out the C: H/D and replace it
with the mobile H/D that all would be OK. I transfered C: to E: using
Win98 on D: drive. I'm just getting ready to try System Commander as the
Boot Manager and see if that will work. Anyway, thanks to all you folks
that give helpful support.
