Back in November I decided to try the Foxfire browser. I made it the
default. Here lately I decided it wasn't what I wanted, so I deleted it.
Now, when I try to open a link from an email, I get the error:

This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. See your system....

Does this mean IE doesn't know it is the default now? If so, where do I
make it the default? Reading links worked OK before I installed Firefox;
now it doesn't. Any ideas?

Hello Jerry.

I'm guessing you're using Windows XP?

In Control Panel under Add/Remove Programs, you'll see Set Program Access
and Defaults (this may well be on your Start Menu somewhere too) fire that
up. Click on Custom and select Internet Explorer as the default browser.

Thank you kind sir. I know I thought about putting XP in the original
message. Don't ever get old.
