Not showing Correct Ram

I have a dual processor system. I am running 8gig of Ram in it. However
windows only shows 2.75g. In the System Info screen it sees all 8gig. The
available memory is the 2.75g though. First of all is the computer using the
8gig of ram, if it isnt is there a way to increase the amount of available?

Are you running 32Bit Windows, if so 4GB is the max for memory.

Yes I am running 32bit windows.... If you say 4gb is the max why does it not
show it in available memory?

Also check to see what your BIOS reports as total memory, as 2.75 is too
low, see if there are any BIOS updates.
