Not Responding

When I close down multiple pop-up ads simultaneously
explorer will freeze and I'll receive a "not responding"
message. Is there a way to prevent the constant freezing
of explorer.

I have Internet Explorer 6.0. I have a broadband
connection with an extremely fast connection (1479 bytes).

Any info would be appreciated.

Recommend Norton Internet Security which you can use to
stop pop-ups permanently from popping up.
