Not Responding

I have windows xp with service pack 2 with IE6 . My problem is lately when I
try to go to a secure web site my IE will go in not responding mode. I have
to try over and over again to finally get to where I want to gowith out it
NOT RESPONDING. I have already went to manage add ons and done all I can
there.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS I WHAT I CAN DO TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM???!!!

(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
