not recognizing my password

My password doens't work anymore. The last thing I did
before shutting down was Norton Virus scan, spybot &
adaware sweep, and then defrag and now Windoows XP
professional doesn't recongnize my password. Dell wants
to completely reinstall my operatiing system and I think
there has to be a way to bypass my password. We've gone
into safe mode as well as 'last known good configuration'
and it still doesn't work. Can someone help me please?

Have you tried to log on with the original Administrator user:

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
