Not receiving email from contacts.

I cannot receive emails from two of my contacts, unless they reply to a
message I send. The reply has to come the same day as I send them my
original message. Why is this? And why only those two contacts?! Please
email me at (e-mail address removed) with any suggestions.

Never post a clear email address to a newsgroup unless you're prepared to
get lots of SPAM at that address.

Why do you believe it's your problem and not theirs? What messages do they
get when they try? What version of Outlook do you use? What mail client do
they use?

I'm using Outlook 2003. I don't know what client they use, but I assume
that's not the problem because their coworkers are able to email me just fine
from the same system, and they are the only two of my contacts whose emails
don't get through.

They don't get any type of error message--on their end it seems that the
email has come through to me. It's very strange.

You're still not giving any indication that your Outlook has any problems.
WIthout more symptoms, I don't see how anyone can figure this out.

What type of account are you using? If it's a POP account, can you connect
to the mail server via a web interface and see if the messages are in the
mailbox?

There aren't any obvious symptoms, at least not to me. Sorry for the lack of
technical details--if I had that kind of knowledge I wouldn't have had to
post the question.

It is a POP account, and there is a web interface. However, emails from
those two contacts do not show up in the webmail version either. I've
checked all of the settings and I don't see anything that would exclude these
two people. Their emails don't contain anything obscene that would be
filtered by our server before they get to me.

Technical knowledge isn't needed. Logic is.

Then it's certainly not an Outlook problem. Outlook can download only what
the server contains and if the server doesn't contain the messages, well...

If your server is never getting the messages, obviously the problem lies
upstream from your server and there's little you can do about that other
than talk to the people at the next router upstream from yours. I'd still
suspect something on the sender's end barring any evidence to the contrary.
