Not receiving all e-mails and hardley any spam.

I'm running office 2007 with outlook on vista business.

Suddenly the amount of e-mails that I usually receive has droped by 75%. I
have turned off all the spam filters and I'm not even getting spam and very
few e-mail. I guess I losing some important e-mails. Can I get these back and
how can I fix the problem please? Thanks in advance!
 
The type of account being, exchange, pop or?
And if mail provided by your ISP, log onto your web mail and check what is
there
 
Then check whether your ISP has spam filters at their end, and in Outlook
run the test accounts procedure
 
Sorry DL. Pop account and no it's not in my in my web mail either. It's so
strange!

If it doesn't arrive in the mailbox on the server, then clearly it's not an
Outlook problem. Outlook can't download what's not there.
