Not reading A:

I installed new Maxtor hard drive as a slave for storage.
Since then my disk in A: drive is not recognized. Even
though there is a floppy disc in the drive the message I
get is to insert a disc. Device manager shows that the
device is working properly.Under my computer I see all the
drives.Extra info: I already have a WIN2K- service pk4
proplem with all kinds of error messages.

Possible cause is you knocked the cable to Drive A: loose or damaged it
while you were installing the harddrive.
