Not printing multiple copies.

Not caused by the server. Have a printer queue with multiple printers in it.
Running XP on the workstations and 2000 or 2003 for the server. I am a
consultant and have verified that this is a problem that occurs at multiple
locations. The workstation always changes the # of copies for a printed
document to what is set as the windows XP default. For example, I have an
inventory program that prints out three copies of a report. That is on a
printer with multiple trays. We have configured the server (queue) so that
any documents printed to a certain tray will print three copies. We have
listed the printer in active directory and it installed that way. If the
printer is set to default that requires three copies everything works fine.
But when a document is printed on another printer it takes the number of
pages for the default printer and the print queue on the server can't control
it. Any one run into this type of problem?

When any other printer is set as the default printer, the amount of copies
that go to the inventory printer are always set as the original default of
the workstation and not the default of the printer.
