Not operating to full potential??

I have a Gigabyte K7 Trition series motherboard (supports AMD Athlon XP processors) And i have a Athlon 3000+XP operating at 2.1GHz. But my computer only recognizes it operating at 1.3GHz. Why? heres more info if needed.

Gigabyte K7 Triton (with dual bios)
Authentic AMD Athlon 3000+ 2.1GHz
80GB HDD
1024MB DDR PC2700
400W PSU
Geforce 5900xt <--Ehhh...

you'd probably need to upgrade your bios to get it to recognise your cpu properly

The FSB speed of your CPU should be either 166 or 200 so you need to set you M/b to 333 or 400

You should be able to do this by setting the FSB auto switch on the board, if this still fails you should be able to set the CPU FSB in the Bios under frequencies/voltage controll
