not enough memory

I have a computer with a 1.3ghtz processor and 256 MB ram
and when I try to open up a Java based game, the system
says there's not enough memory. The CPU goes from 2% to
89% and goes up and down from there. Any suggestions on
what's going on. For example: If I am at POGO and try
to get into a game room the system says there's not
enough memory.

Please help.

There may be too many programs running. The message refers to memory but it
could be resources which are limited.

Look for your exact error message on this page for clues.

Some parasite will use the CPU time. Check it out if all fails.
