Is it possible to keep adding data to a CD or CDRW
without closing or finalising it, if so, could you please
advise how? Have XP Home Edition and also Nero installed.
Any answers much appreciated, and thanks.
Steve.

reuse them over and over and over

Yes you can, it's called Multisession and Nero is quite good at it.

If you use the inbuilt burning or Nero, you are burning 'Sessions' each
containing a batch of files. There is an overhead of about 14MB on each
session, so you can't afford to make them too small. In Nero when you
first write to a disk, take CD Rom - ISO; and make sure you select
'Start Multisession'; next time use 'continue multisession'

You should not close the disk as a whole unless you want to prevent any
further writing to it. Nero does not provide for a partial burn,
leaving the session 'open' to be added to. Nor does the inbuilt burning
- which I would not try to mix with use of Nero anyway
