Not Booting

Hi. Was running my Compaq laptop. Everything running OK. Closed it down.
Later on bootup it would flick on "Press F10 for setup" and then sit on a
blank screen. I cannot get anything to happen. Tried to look at HDD via 3rd
party CD. HDD appears OK, Data is visable through 3rd party tools. Downloaded
documents I was working on OK. Tried rebooting many times. Pulled battery out
and back in but I cannot get it to boot ??

Any help, suggestions would br welcome

Hit F10
and go into setup and see if you can re-detect the HD...
it might have just lost it's settings?

HD was OK, Thanks. Ended up using a XP disk and "restore" Laptop was back up and running in 15min. Thanks again. Smee
