Not booting up correctly

When my computer boots up and gets to the welcome screen,
it sticks their. Sometimes the mouse will already be up
and sometimes it will be up with the hourglass up like
it's trying to complete a task. it's not a big problem
because everything loads up fine after I hit alt, ctrl,
del once. Anybody have any idea what could cause it to
stick???

Something is hanging at startup. To start the troubleshooting, go to
Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Look at the Startup
tab and deselect anything that is unnecessary. Here are links to
information about possible startup programs and also services:

Of course, you will also be running a current (post-2002 version using
updated definitions) antivirus program, right? Sometimes removing
spyware can help, too. Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy
(www.security.kolla.de) and Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com). Be sure to
update these programs before running, and it is a good idea to do
virus/spyware scans in Safe Mode.

Please post back if you need more help and include what you've already
done to troubleshoot the problem.

Cheers,

Malke
