Not all images load on webpage

Hi

I use IE6 and Win XP.

A frustrating problem has occured with incomplete loading of images -
some load on pages and some do not. The red image X does not appear,
if I did not know the images should exist ie. on my own site there is
otherwise no indication of their existence. I have installed SP2

When using a different browser, I am astounded at how much I miss

I have so far
emptied the cache
set security to default

any ideas please?

Many thanks

I have observed the same problem in a site I'm working on and one I haven't.

I've narrowed it down to:

1>
Image tag is completely removed.

2>
Only happens in XP Pro - XP Home is fine

3>
My web page source code is fine.

The conclusion is that it's some kind of bug in the security settings of
XPPro.

This doesn't really help me as even if I found the setting in IE6/XPPro it
is not realistic to ask all my website visitors to modify their settings
before viewing my pages.

This has been driving me nuts, there is little or nothing on the web about
this at the moment as far as I can see.

Hi,
Have you tried disabling third-party security programs? I've heard of
Proxomitron stripping out links (I don't remember the details) and Norton
Internet Security is having problems with XP SP2 (in particular.)

Some reports have indicated that Encoding may be an issue
with this symptom. E.g. is there an explicit charset specified
in the header or is it just defaulting to something? Do you use
Auto-Select or if not have you tried changing the Encoding
manually?
