In my experience, when contacts or calendar items belong to several
categories, they tend to display in the last category selected. Perhaps if
you tell us in which version of Outlook this is happening, someone may be
able to help.

After furious head scratching, (e-mail address removed) asked:

| seems to cut of after a certain number, and sometimes cutting the
