not able to use the "test" function of Screensaver files

All my screensaver files (files with the .src extention) are now testing in
notepad. I can configure, or install them from the file but can not test
(view) them.

I like to use a shortcut to scrnsav.scr and click it for an instant blank
screen. This worked until recently when somehow the association was
evidently changed.

The SCR extention is not listed in file extentions ... Can anyone tell me
where I can change this association back to allow the screensave to "test"
instead of "open in notepad". I'm not seeing anything in the registry that
seems to apply to this.

Thanks

Fix the SCR extension here:
