Not able to save the setting of USe word as email editor

I'm trying to save the setting of using word as email editor as I have lot of
auto correct entries which I want to use in outlook too.But whenever I log
off or restart the computer this setting is lost.Creating a new profile has
also not helped.

Do the versions of Outlook and Word match? The integration between Outlook
and Word only works if they are the same version. For example, you cannot
use Word 2000 as the e-mail editor with Outlook 2002 as the e-mail client.
Even if they are the same versions, do you have multiple concurrent installs
of different versions of Word or Office?
