not able to join the domain

hi,
I created a new domain named 'X' in windows2k advanced
serverl.when i tried to add new win2k professional or
serevr or advanced server its giving an error
mssg "network path not found".I tried to add windowsnt
workstation and windowsnt server and its was success.

i tried to troubleshoot this by trying 3 solutions

1.i enabled file and print sharing

2.i checked TCP/IP NETBIOS HELPER in serveices is
running and set it automatic

3.i tried by disabling computer browser in services


still i am not able to join the domain with any of the
win2k operating system.pls help me

I had some problems similar to this a few weeks ago. Are you using a router? Try this, it may or may not help.

Give your server a stativ IP address and then setup your clients to look for it as a DNS server. Let me know if this works
