Not a valid password.

I have two Access apps. They need to be linked (via Linked Table Manager)
and I must password protect both (company policy). The problem is, when I
put a password on them, I can't link them - even if I use the same password,
I get a message "Not a valid password."

If I make sure they're linked before I put the passwords on, I still get the
same error message when one tries to access tables from the other.

How can I accomplish this?

Hi, Katie.
If I make sure they're linked before I put the passwords on, I still get the
same error message when one tries to access tables from the other.

That's because the link was made before the password was created. Whenever
a link is created, the Link Table Manager saves information about the table,
such as the structure, usage patterns -- and the password. If a password is
added to the database _after_ this link is created and the Link Table Manager
is used to "refresh" the links, the original information is still used for
the link. The Link Table Manager doesn't read the new settings. To prevent
this, drop all links to the password-protected database and then recreate new
ones.
