Norton vs. Mailwasher

Today, I installed Norton Internet Security 2004, which took hours and hours
to do all the updating. Anyhow, now that I wish to read my email, when I
click on Mailwasher, a box comes up telling me: connection was refused by
personal firewall. I have looked all through Mailwashers help files and
cannot find any way to get it to retrieve my email. Any suggestions?

Its a setting on NIS, you have to allow Firewall to let Mailwasher connect.
If you set up NIS with default settings it should have found most apps that
require a connection. If you run an app NIS doesnt know about you should
receive an NIS msg in which you can allow the connection.
I see the footer of yr post has an AVG sig., if you have an AV app installed
and try to install another AV app they very often conflict with each other.
