Norton the OVERWHELMING #1 AV choice amongst broadband users

Yes.......in fact, I am!! Ask Laura to let you in and maybe she will if
I tell her what a good guy you are, <g>

You could give Clay some competition with Nicky then......and you have
the 'home advantage'.....(he's in London, Nicky)

Heather

Yes, she is......assuming you meant the 'thanks for the nice Usenet
message" Chuckie......I never know with you. This is where he was
shilling for Norton a year or so ago......

I can't remember why I had blocked Amsterdam, but I
just unblocked it.

There's only ONE country that's blocked in its
entirety. (Sorry, Nick.) And part of its neighboring
country, too. (Sorry, Rod.)

(htaccess is your friend.)

OOPS.....should have changed back to Heather.......hell of a welcome
back from a *stranger*, eh? I use that on certain n.g's where I wish to
remain anonymous.

Heather

Darn, and I thought I had a new friend.(

(actually I have seen you post as an 'anonymous nymshit' before, and
remembered the name)

I think I'll be dropping in and out some for a while as real life
demands more and more of my attention.

I don't show up in pictures or in mirrors for some odd reason.
Maybe I could have a portrait done though. ;o)

Amsterdam?? Last time I looked, London was in England, grin. However,
Shane is using Hotmail, so perhaps you have that blocked.

Can't you allow individual posters to your website, regardless of
country of origin?

Cheers....Heather

Never mind. Was at wrong ARIN database. His IP says
Hampshire. Nonetheless, I don't remember blocking
anyone in England, either, lol. I deleted it from my
htaccess file.

Only if they have a static IP.

Hampshire, eh? Used to live there before I started using computers. I
thought my IP said Manchester.

Glad you added that grin there, Figgs. Just cos I occasionally come over all
sentimental and actually try to help people on the ME groups. Not much
danger of that here!

Clay looks like he ought to change his name to Grass (and when no-one gets
that, I'll change mine to mud).

You forget I'm probably old enough to be Nicky's grandfather, Heather.
Anyway, knowing you New Worlders, she's probably in Carlisle.

My point is to demonstrate that even if Jesus Christ (or pick your favorite
God-like entity) declared Norton to be best or posted his test results
showing the same results that these same "Norton-Haters" would belch and
spew out the same regurgitated bullshit they always do ...

Well, seeing as Symantec have bought their way to fame via the retail
channel etc. I see no reason to promote them.

What surprises me (of the 45 posts I've read here) is that no-one's
mention the DRM factor - AFAIK, modern NAV practices
commercial-malware-like behaviour, which I consider particularly
unacceptable in an anti-malware utility.

Yo Chris!! Welcome Back!! And congratulations on the MVP
designation......you deserve it. I haven't seen you posting on the
WinME groups tho. So hence the belated congrats!!

Best......Heather

Why not? You certainly know way more than you let on, grin.

OK Mud, I give over. Ron had an idea and I already have forgotten what
it was.

HAH!! Nicky.....he is about 41/42 and kinda cute for a Brit. (G) And
Shane....for shame. You know Carlisle is *my* ancestors' stomping
grounds.....way up in the Border county.

You think Sardonicus is cute? Getting pretty hairy now. A few more donuts
and pizzas, and I'll look like Bob Hite at Woodstock.

But why would anyone want to go where the water flows like wine?
