Norton SystemWorks 2003 not responding after XP update

I am now using Windows XP Professional, Build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633. After I installed these XP updates from the Microsoft site, Norton did not respond. I could not uninstall nor open the program.

Trying to re-intall Norton SystemWorks 2003, I received the following error message:

CommandLine: "C:\WINDOWS|System32\msiexec.exe" /i "E:nsw.msi"
Loaded dbghelp extention DLL
The call to LoadLibrary(ext) failed with error 2.
Loaded exts extention DLL
The call to LoadLibrary(uext) failed with error 2.
Loaded ntsdexts extention DLL
Sybol search path is: ***Invalid***: Verify _NT_SYMBOL_PATH setting
Break instruction exception - code 80000003 (first chance)
***ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for ntdl.dll-ntdll!DbgBreakPoint: 77f75a58 cc
int 3

Before the update, Norton was working wonderfully. Now I am without my AntiVirus or my System Doctor/WinDoctor. How should I proceed from here?
