I have Norton IS firewall (Win XP PRO) and our network administrator
installed timbuktu pro (and retrospect client) in order to set up our
backup systems. Despite opening the correct ports for Timbuktu UDP/TCP
traffic, they cannot get it to work (i can neither connect to their
server, nor vice versa).
Interestingly, the problem persists even if the NIS program is turned
off AND the windows firewall is off. Any thoughts? Our IT department
claims it is Norton IS firewall's fault, but I'm wondering if Timbuktu
is misconfigured or has an installation error.
