Norton Internet Security 2007

Yesterday I purchased and downloaded N I S 2007 as my old subscription was
about to expire. Since the download I have nothing but problems: My Anti Spam
Folder disappeared from Outlook Express ... inbox is stuffed with junk mail,
on the internet I get constant pop ups, although the blocker is on ... this
morning I just had to turn the pc off without being able to shut it down
correctly, because I was flodded with pop up windows to no end ... nightmare
.... at the Symantec Solution Center I can't find any subject that covers
these issues ... frustrated. What can I do?
 
Ok, I can answer my own question. Finally was able to talk to customer
service and learned that Anti Spam and Ad-blocking is not included in the
2007 version at this time ... but it will be in about two weeks and I can
download it then. Wish they had that written somewhere when I downloaded the
upgrade ... it would have saved me a few hours trying to figure out what is
wrong ... not a happy customer!
 
And when it is available, disregard it. You will thank me later.

I have an intense personal dislike for Norton's retail offerings. They are slow and bloated and often cause as many headaches as it advertises it will cure.

Please go to the Norton 2007 Update Center and select the BEGIN button.

It will download for FREE the Norton Internet Security 2007 Add-on
Pack:

1. Norton AntiSpam - Automatically filters out annoying and dangerous
fraudulent or phishing emails from your email in-box.

2. Norton Parental Control - Blocks access to Web sites not suitable
for children.

3. Confidential Information Blocking - Alerts you if unauthorized
sensitive personal information is being sent out over the Internet via
email, instant messaging or Web pages.

4. Ad Blocking - Keeps banner ads and pop-up and pop-under windows off
the screen for faster Web browsing.

since you did not include the original message I have no idea what the
problem is... but I will say that antispam and antivirus apps should not be
configured to scan email - it causes more problems than it's worth.
