Norton ghost 9.0 failed once again...

mistified

I need your help PLEASE.

I used the "copy drive" thing in ghost 9.0 to copy one drive at like 5
gigs to a 80 gig drive, telling the program to make the whole drive as
one. Everything went fine, i turned off the computer, took out the
original drive, and then moved the cables to make the new drive the
primary. On reboot, after the POST screen it all goes blank and i
just get a flashing cursor. I've tried it twice, tried to install XP
from the disk on the drive. Nothing works. I've used a 98 floppy boot
to see if the partition is active, it is. I've tried to fix the MBR,
and nothing. Any suggestions? this guy's drive is running out of
space, and fast. This computer is some old PII dell desktop, but i've
had this hard drive in there before as an additional drive, I deleted
all partitions off there, before the copy thing.

Thanks

I gave up on Ghost 9 for that situation, used True Image 8 instead
and that worked perfectly and much faster than Ghost 9 failed too.

What version of Windows are you booting? What is the format? (FAT,
FAT32, NTFS?) If you are replacing a 5G with an 80G, it sounds like a
very old computer that could have an 8G limit. Windows NT also does not
like booting from a partition over 8G.
