What type of errors are you getting.
I don't know if this is relative to the problem that your
having but:
Recently I had to reinstall nortons on a computer. I
uninstalled what was on it (or so I thought it was
uninstalled completely) and reinstalled nortons from the
cd rom. But it would never work, could not open the
firewall or av, and the firewall would never startup.Kept
uninstalling/reinstalling nortons, even went so far as to
reinstall windows and do everything again. No luck
still. Finally I realized that all the uninstalls were
not cleaning the registry files. I did a regedit and
searched for things like norton, symantec, liveupdate and
deleted them. Rebooted. And then the install went perfect.
If you try to install nortons and cant get it to work
maybe try(make sure your not connected to the net),
uninstalling, reboot, regedit and delete keys, reboot,
reinstall.
