Norton 2006

I've only had it for about a couple days but the biggest thing I've
noticed is that my computer runs faster compared to when my previous
(2004) was installed.
 
That's encouraging. Previous versions were memory hogs, to say the least.

Does 2006 require "activation?"
 
Absolutely...while I never noticed any major slowdowns with Norton I do now
see after installing Norton Internet Security 2006 that my apps load faster.
Noticeably so....

I think this may be due to the fact that NAV 2006 and NIS 2006 are now only
written for XP and Win 2000. They have dropped compatibility for Win9x,and
ME so finally it is a true XP application. Sure is zippier.
