Normal phone calls received as incoming faxes

XP Professional has been configured and fax services work
both on incoming and outgoing. However, non-fax
communication (normal phone call) in the telephone line is
interpreted as a fax. Fax software kicks in and takes the
call as a fax.

Solved it temporary by disabling receiving faxes.

Very interesting. The KB article you provideds says
Microsoft is aware of this problem. Hopefully it will be
taken care of in the future.

Thanks for the relpy and KB article.
