Normal style is the default style - if you have another style turned on then
try Normal default shortcut
CTRL SHIFT N
Otherwise in 2003 turn on toolbar Formatting if not on by defautl and it
shows you the style names (top left) - if Normal is on it will show if you
look at dropdown you can select Normal if it is not on.
Open a new blank document File New Blank Document, it should open with
default Normal style unless otherwise altered.
