Normal.dot in Powerpoint?

Hi all.

I think everybody knows the file normal.dot that is used with Word.
Everytime you open a Word-document it takes over all the settings from that
document.

Now I want to know if there is something like this normal.dot file for
Powerpoint.
So that every time I open an new Powerpoint-document it takes the same
settings (like background color, font, etc).
And if it exists, how can I do this?

I use Office 2003.

I hope someone will be able to help me out.

Also, since you are using PowerPoint 2003 you can set the default template to
any other template of your choice.
