When starting Word, it shows the startup splash screen, then hangs. I
eventually have to use the process manager to kill the process to get the
computer to do anything.
After doing a little reseach on the internet, I've found that by deleting
the normal.dot file, it will start up normally. However, after I close Word
after that and attempt to restart it, it hangs again, and the normal.dot file
is corrupted again. It seems that the normal.dot file it creates is
corrupted.
Does anyone know how I can check how the normal.dot file is
created/corrupted or how to fix this problem?
