How do I replace my Normal.dot with someone else's on another c drive?

Why do you want to do this? Generally it is not a good idea. See
http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions
on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc.

You can simply copy the normal.dot file onto a disk (with Word closed) and
then copy it onto your computer (also with Word closed).

Thanks for taking time to reply. I think I will try the copying to disk
thing. I am new to a very small office. The other sec'y has loads of macros
already on her normal.dot. My normal.dot is blank so I wouldn't be missing
anything. I will read that website you recommend as well. Why wouldn't it
be a good idea. I can see if I had loads of settings and styles and macros,
etc. already but I don't.
